All non-aggressive dogs that have been spayed or neutered are welcome at Daycare 4 Dogs. We currently look after tiny Terriers, loyal Labradors and docile Deerhounds; puppies are welcome once they reach 12 weeks and have had all the required DHLPPC vaccinations.
At six months old, males must have been neutered and bitches should be kept at home while they are on heat. All non-aggressive dogs that have been spayed or neutered are welcome at Daycare 4 Dogs.
Although some of our dogs occasionally entertain us with circus tricks, all we ask is that they know a basic ‘Sit’ command. Daycare is structured playtime – not a place to run riot – and the dogs’ ability to sit on command helps us discourage jumping and pushiness. If your dog needs a bit of help to learn, we are more than happy to assist and of course exceptions are made for young puppies and dogs that have recently signed up for training.
With a growing number of abandoned dogs in the UK we welcome rescues of all shapes and sizes. Once you have owned them for 30 days and they have been given a thorough health check by your vet, they are more than welcome.
Unfortunately, dogs that have previously harmed or shown threatening behaviour towards another dog or person cannot join Daycare 4 Dogs. Instead we will be happy to discuss dog walking and pet sitting options (see Daycare 4 Dogs Recommends LINK).
