Emma Billington

I am the founder of Daycare 4 Dogs and spent my first years in the animal profession walking canines of all shapes or sizes come rain or shine.

I hold a professional qualification from the Academy of Dog Training & Behaviour, study Canine Psychology and have close to 10 years’ experience in this field.

Having an experienced, trustworthy and reliable team behind me is the key to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for our dogs.

I take great pride in selecting the best carers – handpicked for their love of animals, professional approach and dedication to ensuring that every dog enjoys their fun and exciting day in a safe environment.

When Sharon enrolled her pooch Diva, a rescue from Cheshire Dogs Home, at Daycare 4 Dogs she was instantly inspired by the concept. She had been dreaming of swapping her 20 year career in retail for a move into animal care so when an opportunity at Daycare 4 Dogs came up, Sharon seized it with both hands.

Sharon: "I love animals and have always enjoyed having them in my life - especially those in need. Interacting with dogs in a daycare environment and gaining their trust is extremely rewarding, and knowing that they won’t have to be home alone makes it the best job in the world."

Emma: "Sharon has a natural talent for communicating with animals and with her endless energy, she can keep up with even our liveliest dogs."

After spending 15 years working in financial services, Jill opted out of the rat race and moved into a career working with an equally demanding but much more affectionate clientele! A seasoned dog walker and owner of 10 year old Collie cross rescue Bowie, Jill now divides her time between dog walking and Daycare 4 Dogs. The change of career meant a change in lifestyle as she substituted the power suit for more practical clothes, and Jill has never looked back and loves her new profession.

Jill: "A day on my feet suits me much better than one spent in an office. You need lots of love and patience – especially for the more demanding ones – but your efforts are rewarded ten fold with genuine affection and friendship."

Emma: "Jill is a real find; truly enthusiastic about dogs and her commitment come rain or shine is thoroughly appreciated by our long-standing customers and of course their owners."

When Susan offered to volunteer many years ago when we had not long opened we never realised what a huge asset she was going to be.  She is now employed with us as we snapped her up as soon as a vacancy became available.  She spends much of her time with them on a 121 basis giving them personal attention and play time.  Sue loves looking after the puppies but is as confident with all dogs big and small; nothing phases her.

Emma: "Sue is such a find.  She is a pleasure to work with and all dogs love her to bits she is their best friend.  She does everything happily, whether cleaning or attending to the dogs.  We are so pleased she enjoys it so much with us."

Susan: "I really enjoy the job and looking after the dogs."
